Working Together for a Green, Competitive and Inclusive Europe

Since 2004, over 200 MEUR have been has been allocated to a number of programmes in Latvia through the EEA and Norway Grants mechanism.

Cooperation in the area of justice and home affairs will be continued, with a focus on the correctional services and the fight against economic crime. Regional Baltic cooperation will be reestablished in the field of research and education. Other key areas are climate and environment, local development, culture and civil society.

Programs & allocation 2014 - 2021

On 14 December 2017, Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Latvia on the implementation of EEA / Norwegian grants programme 2014-2021. The grant projects will be implemented until April 30, 2024. Negotiations have started on the new EEA / Norway Grants programme for the next seven-year period.
